Thank you! The first phase of the project to remove Arundo donax (Giant Reed) from Sabino Canyon Recreation Area--all of the cutting, bundling and hauling of canes--has been accomplished. If you haven’t been out to the canyon recently, go see the difference we all have made. Notice that nearly everywhere we removed Arundo, native vegetation is beginning to return.  

So, the event scheduled for Sun., March 7 in Sabino Canyon Recreation Area has been cancelled. However, you can still help remove Arundo at a different site on March 7: Rillito and Oracle, 8 a.m.-12 noon.
